As previously reported, Bangkok Hospital has built a new branch in Hua Hin. It begins operations this month with a staged opening of different services.

First to open is the emergency department with 24 hour operation to handle accidents and other medical emergencies. In early 2011, our ut-patient department will open with clinics in all major areas of medicine, including family medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, ENT (ear, nose and throat), general and orthopedic surgery, pediatrics, women’s healthcare, ophthalmology, rehabilitation and dentistry. An Annual Check-up Department will also be opened at that time. The in-patient department is scheduled for a mid-2011 opening with 50 beds available. The hospital is advertising its usual comfortable private hospital room with sofa bed and friendly visitor policy.

The new branch will offer the same advanced diagnosis and treatment facilities found at other Bangkok Hospital locations as well as its own laboratory so test results can be received quickly. There will also be medical transport available for patients who need to transfer to specialty centers in Bangkok, including a rooftop helipad.
