Piyavate Hospital Chinese Medicine Center
Piyavate Hospital has established a Chinese Medicine Center, part of its “Centers of Excellence” concept. Treatments available in Piyavate’s Chinese Medicine Center include acupuncture, a thousand year old traditional treatment from China that was certified by the World Health Organization in 1979 as a legitimate form of medical treatment. Acupuncture has been proven effective in pain relief, treatment of infertility and various orthopedic problems, as well as other medical problems. In combination with acupuncture Chinese herbal medicines are often prescribed to assist in balancing body function and improving blood circulation.
Also available in the Chinese Medicine Center is Tui Na massage, a massage method practiced for thousands of years in China. It places emphasis on balancing yin and yang and focuses on relieving pain caused by inflammation and tension.
